What kind of projects/performances can apply to be part of the festival?

The festival is looking for engaging, imaginative and creative projects in areas such as art, theatre, dance, music, street performances, talks and cross-over performances. The projects must relate to one or more of the festival’s central concepts.

When is the application deadline?

For H.C. Andersen Festivals 2018, the application deadline is 1. November 2017.

Can I submit my application via email?

No. All applications must be completed and submitted using the online application form.

When will I receive answer to my application?

You can expect to receive an answer to your application by the end of December 2017.

Who reviews my application?

Your application will be reviewed by the festival’s selection committee for each area, including experts in the fields of theatre, dance, music, subculture, street performance, cultural communication, education and business.

How is my application processed?

Your application is initially received by the festival secretariat, who will administratively prepare it for review by the relevant committee. The selection committee then reviews and selects projects for inclusion in the festival. Once the reviews are completed, the secretariat will notify you of whether your project has been selected for inclusion or not.
